The garden, word by word
Every term on this site is a rule in the Greenhouse program on Solana. This is the full list, with the numbers the program uses today.
A position.
It opens when you plant a seed into the Greenhouse program. The seed is held by the program, never lent, pledged or sold, and is returned whole when the plot closes.
What you put in.
An xStock on Solana, or USDC. A stock seed is valued in raw token units at the last posted close; the xStock UI multiplier is not applied. A USDC seed is worth its face value and grows against the SPY close. The smallest seed is worth 1 USDC (min_seed_value 1000000).
Seed, sprout, bud, bloom.
Four official market closes after planting. The first stage is the first close posted after your plant transaction. Weekends and NYSE holidays are not closes.
One per stage.
At every close the observer posts the official close price of every variety to the program, and the price stays on chain forever. A stage holds when the close is at or above the barrier. A stage that holds pays the coupon; a stage that does not hold pays nothing and takes nothing.
95% of the plant price.
The program parameter barrier_bps is 9500. If the close price of your variety is at least 95% of the price when you planted, the stage holds.
0.25% of the seed value per stage that holds.
The program parameter coupon_bps is 25. It is paid in USDC and accrues to the plot; you receive it at harvest, at replant or when you pull early. It is not a dividend and it is not a projection: it is what the program pays for a stage that held, read from the chain.
Coming back between two closes.
Water a plot before its next close and, if that stage holds, it pays 50% more (water_bonus_bps 5000). Once per stage. Skipping is never punished; a dry plot just collects the plain coupon.
A plot only blooms where the greenhouse can pay it.
When you plant, the program reserves the worst case of your whole season out of the greenhouse's free USDC: four coupons at the watered rate, 4 × 0.25% × 1.5 of the seed value. Free USDC is what the vault holds minus the seeds planted in it and minus everything already reserved. If that USDC is not there, the plot does not open. Reserved USDC can never be withdrawn by the owner.
Collecting at bloom.
After four closes: the seed comes back whole and the accrued USDC is paid to your wallet.
Auto-compound.
After four closes: a new season starts with the same seed at the latest close. A USDC seed grows by what it collected; a stock seed collects its USDC and is replanted as it is.
The exit.
At any stage: the seed comes back whole and every stage that already held is paid. No fee, no penalty, no liquidation.
The protocol vault.
The program itself. It holds the seeds, the USDC that backs coupons and the stock tokens that pay the leaderboard. Its balances are public: token accounts on Solana, read every minute by this site and by the app.
Who posts the closes.
A protocol key posts one close per trading day. Every price is bounded to within 30% of the previous post and every close must be later than the last one, so a typo cannot settle a season. Anyone can compare a posted close against the public NYSE close.
The varieties.
A variety is a ticker in the colour of its stock. It is stocked when the program has a close price for it and free USDC to back a plot.
The weekly ranking.
The top gardeners are paid in real stock tokens from the free part of the greenhouse. Rewards are on-chain transactions with a reason attached.
Published on chain, here and on X.
The Greenhouse program id is published on this site, in the app and on @FloweFI the day it is deployed. Any other address claiming to be Flowe is not.
Plant your first seed.
Bring a stock token or USDC. The greenhouse does the rest, one official close at a time.
